Clēan Verification is a decontamination treatment and alternative to traditional post-harvest washing, the latter of which provides limited and unpredictable decontamination efficacy. Post-harvest washing was once considered decontamination but is now understood to be a high-risk cross-contamination point.

Our products clean produce in two ways: The Clēan Batch process blows ozonated air through a chamber, achieving consistent sterilization from the top of the bin to the bottom. The Clēan Flow process uses light, a gentle mist and ozone to cleanse produce as it passes under a conveyor hood.

Clēan Verification can be done at any step of the fresh produce supply chain, from grower to retailer, and on all kinds of produce, from apples to zucchini. It can also be used to decontaminate the bins and containers used for transport and storage.

Natural Ingredients

Our process uses three natural ingredients: a component found in sunlight, the chemical responsible for that fresh smell after a thunderstorm, and the antiseptic grandma used on your cuts. All of them have been FDA-approved.

Our patented forced-air batch system offers consistent decontamination from the top to the bottom of the bin. Our flow process can even decontaminate below the skin of your produce.
